OB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for C Developers for a project in the telecommunications area.
The aim of this product is that you will have to work on a tool that measures and monitors the utilization of test spaces in the customer’s laboratories located around the world, and these data support decision-makers in relation to high-value purchases.
The Team
You will join our consultant team who works remotely, but we meet at the Sigma office once a week, and it is also possible to join the client-side project members once a week on an optional basis. The team is large but performs a variety of tasks, from development to system support.
What will be your tasks in this team?
Work in a multinational cross-functional agile team on network tool development in an embedded C Linux environment, development tasks mostly on hardware
Development of new generation platforms, implementation of L2L3 protocols
Participation in the design of new features, implementation
Consultancy and expertise on the solution provided to other technical groups
Research fundamental problems and implement algorithms / solutions
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes, fixing bugs found by customers and during test phases
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BSc./M.Sc. or ongoing education in information technology, computer science or a similar field
At least 3 years working experience in C
A great understanding of multi-threaded software architecture
Excellent debugging and optimization skills
Solid understanding of the Unix/Linux operating system
Familiarity with configuration management tools and monitoring systems
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Good written and oral skills in English
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS, PERSONAL TRAITS, EXPERIENCE
Working experience in modern C++
Networking and IP protocol experience
Scripting experience (Unix Shell, Python, etc.)
Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins
Knowledge of agile methodologies
