WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT:
Dealing with projects related to Distribution Center transformation. Planning and organizing resources and people to make sure that the agreed project benefits are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope. Looking after projects with support. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, simplification and modernization while being cost efficient and safe and legal compliant.
• Being responsible for initiation, planning, design, testing, execution, controlling and closure of projects using agreed method (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
• Setting up governance forums with support by engaging key sponsors and subject matter experts
• Building project business cases (incl. agreeing scope and objectives) and identifying critical success factors (with support), subsequently tracking and reporting progress to the governance forum
• Managing key stakeholders and dependencies to establish RACI, ways of working and alignment of approaches
• Ensuring clear, concise and timely communication including preparation of communication packs
• Setting up project budgeting, planning any deliverable creation processes, to ensure expectations are clearly established and standards followed
• Identifying and managing project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, simplification and modernization by analyzing current tools and processes (with support) and monitoring trends outside the Tesco. Translating opportunities into projects
• Supporting standardization across the CE by finding the best common approach, participating on Tesco Group projects (where applicable)
• Implementing projects on time and on budget, ensuring that projects went through concept testing/trials/pilots before being launched and all the potential risks and issues were managed prior to roll out
• Engaging deployment teams, providing relevant support and documentation such as training materials (where applicable)
• Managing the project team at the same time as supporting team members on the job learning
• Tracking project benefits after go-live against the original business case and critical success factors (where applicable)
• Capturing lessons learned in conjunction with team members and other key stakeholders
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• Knowledge and experience of delivering projects within or outside of Tesco
• Prior experience working with or within a retail business
• Driving license (B)
• English language on intermediate level (B1+)
• Stakeholder management
• Organisation skills (including time management)
• Communication skills
• Financial acumen
• Data analysis and report preparation
