We are searching for a motivated colleague, who will make an impact and participate shaping the future of MOL Group’s Downstream Division, as a
Downstream Business Compliance Expert
who will be helping our Downstream Business Compliance Director in building, developing and maintaining framework for business and contracting fraud prevention, detection and response along the entire Downstream value chain. The scope covers the entire Downstream operation, all countries, all products, all business units.
Responsibilities:
• Assess contracting processes to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including evaluating contract terms, vendor selection procedures, and payment processes.
• Review and evaluate compliance with commercial policies and business acumen and ownership principles, identifying any deviations or potential areas of non-compliance.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports outlining findings, recommendations, and proposed corrective actions. Present investigation results to management and other stakeholders as necessary.
• Identify potential business risks and recommend controls to mitigate those risks.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in fraud prevention and investigation techniques, and apply this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of our anti-fraud efforts.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and procurement teams, to gather necessary information and support during investigations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the investigation process, ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive information.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field – relevant certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are highly desirable
• Proven experience in conducting fraud investigations, preferably within the oil and gas industry or a related field
• Strong understanding of fraud detection and prevention techniques, as well as knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences
• High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to travel
