As a Project Controls Team Leader, you will oversee all investment projects in Hungary, focusing on financial reporting, project control processes, and project management principles. You will also act as a product owner leading your team of project controllers in the ongoing development of a single source of truth, ensuring accurate and consistent project data. Your aim will be to support MOL’s long-term strategy and contribute to a sustainable future through successful project delivery.

The assignment is planned within Investment Hungary organization, Project Control and Support department, and you will be the Person who:

– oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial reports related to investment projects,
– monitor project & portfolio performance and make adjustments as necessary to meet objectives,
– implement and maintain project control processes to ensure projects are on track,
– lead & develop a team of project controls professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment,
– conducting quality checks of the stage gate process and connected documentation before approval.

Working in major CAPEX projects across various sectors such as Refinery, Petrochemicals, Logistics, Surface Upstream, Innovative Business Solutions, and Circular Economy, including strategic project as well.

Main responsibilities:

– Provide strategic guidance to the team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company goals.
– Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing clear and actual updates on project status and performance.
– Continuously maintains and forecasts the projects financial goals.
– Participation in the Business Plan preparation.
– Regularly analyze the project portfolio financial reports, coordinate the report preparation activities (projects cost control tables, portfolio review reports from financial aspects, 150-200 projects’ handling).
– Act as a product owner leading your team of project controllers in the ongoing development of a single source of truth, ensuring accurate and consistent project data.
– Monitor and manage the team capacity.
– Proposes actions to improve quality of daily operation and reporting system
– Act as a developer- see through the current processes of the organization, and continuously develop it; furthermore, tailor it according to the project needs, along with the industry’s best practice.

Requirements:

– MSc University degree (financial or economical experiences, project management is an advantage)
– SAP knowledge is a nice to have, but no worries if you have not have the chance to work in it yet, we will build up together the necessary knowledge according to MOL best practices!
– Good understanding of O365 – Excel, Word & PowerPoint (power applications are an advantage)
– Product Owner experience is an advantage.
– 2-5 years’ of professional work experience – preferably in a project financial role or working in other project management support functions in Capital Projects
– 1-3 years’ of experience in leadership
– Advanced level of English knowledge, Hungarian is a must
– Driving licence
