Description
The new colleague will work together with the Accounting & Consolidation Manager to manage financial controlling and analyzing the daily activity of International Card Organizations („ICO” like MC, VISA, CUP, JCB, AMEX) in 28 countries. Tasks briefly include collaboration with Controllers and Finance teams to provide analysis and explanations for the ICO fees, participation in closing activity, review the monthly, quarterly, yearly accruals, preparation of management reporting, other ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks.
Job responsibilities:
– Active participation in the monthly closing, review and support the team members in the closing activity
– Review the monthly, quarterly, yearly accruals for the fees of the card schemes for all the companies
– Analyze and validate the fees regarding the card scheme settlements
– Review and analyze the fees from the ICOs
– Participate in the monitoring of the ICO interchange and pricing publications on the MC and VISA sites
– Inform stakeholders about the upcoming changes and their implications
– Review the BS reconciliation files
– Play an active role in the reporting (AR aging, variance analysis, quarterly reports)
– Prepare intercompany open item reports and manage IC payments
– Provide data for IC invoicing (revenue related)
– Review and monitor the IC invoicing, clarify and resolve the IC imbalances
– VAT calculation and review the relevant accounting entries, comparing to the VAT return
– Continued process improvement
– Supporting the team members and providing feedback
– Assist in the internal, interim and year end audits (US GAAP and IFRS)
– Assist in ad hoc analysis and implementation of new processes and tasks
Requirements
– University or College degree in Economic field
– 3-5 years of accounting and controlling experiences in multinational company
– Able to meet deadlines
– Team working
– Strong excel knowledge, analytical and structured way of thinking
– Fluent English is a must
– Self-motivated and ability to work independently when needed
– Accurate with good attention to detail
– US GAAP experience an advantage
