We integrate sustainability aspects in our requirements, supplier evaluation and classifications, supplier selection process and final purchasing decisions. To this end, we are looking to strengthen our international team with a Sustainable Purchasing Specialist, who would be working with a team of global sustainability and purchasing professionals to ensure the successful implementation of various ESG topics on a group level.
MAIN TASKS:
Support the implementation of central sustainable purchasing strategy worldwide across Truck and Rail divisions and support it’s further development (e.g. carbon accounting, supply chain decarbonization and human rights aspects)
Create, manage and improve the documentation and reporting processes in an accurate, reliable and excellent quality to ensure availability quarterly and successful audits.
Manage supplier sustainability assessments, increase coverage, improve average score. Regular reporting, analysis, corrective action planning and coaching to suppliers to ensure a continuous improvement of direct and indirect supplier’s sustainability performance
Manage internal stakeholders, and coordinating communication and cooperation between the related departments and purchasing
Professional and organizational support the work of sustainable purchasing manager
Key interface for related departments in high level escalation topics with suppliers
Representation of Knorr-Bremse in selected sustainable purchasing working groups of the related industries (Rail & Truck)
REQUIREMENTS:
Several years of professional experience in a similar position in a multinational company culture
Relevant academic education
Science- and data-driven mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative
Working experience in Purchasing, Supplier Management or KPI-controlling is an advantage
Ability and willingness to work independently and proactively
Creativity & Innovation
Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders in English (German and Hungarian is an advantage).
