Job interviews can sometimes be daunting, but with the right preparation you can be more confident and effective. In my presentation, I'll share with you the steps that will help you to get through your first interview with ease, and make the interview not a stressful experience, but a great one for the future.

The presentation will cover the pitfalls, low points and high points of the first five years of a research career, but it is a structure that can be applied to virtually any job. In fact, I would argue that becoming a good researcher is what is known in other circles as being success-oriented. In my presentation, I will outline the most important strategies to help you make the most of the situation. I will focus on preparation, negotiation techniques, and effective communication of arguments to make the wage negotiation a truly bilateral agreement.
