Introduction
We are looking for a motivated, system-oriented, well-organised colleague who is not afraid of a “full-speed” style of work as a project controller.
You will work on construction projects as a controller. This is an opportunity where you don’t just have to hunch behind the computer but also do your work by walking around the construction site (project cost and commercial management, value engineering, reporting, quality control, design & quality management).
Tasks
• Close cooperation with country teams, including project managers and designers.
• Weekly production of budgets using group templates, ensuring the scope of work is checked and unit prices are applied based on up-to-date tenders.
• Estimating BI/CIs (Building Improvements/Client Improvements) as part of the construction budget with respect to both costs and revenues, ensuring group KPIs are always met.
• Monthly production of CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliation) to ensure the budget is on target to complete based on signed KPIs
• Producing and keeping up-to-date project planning overviews for construction process management.
• Risk mitigation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Responsible for opening, updating, monitoring, and closing construction budgets in the ERP system.
• Providing critical assessment of all construction budgets and returns.
• Supporting the operational activities required to transition from the current commercial systems to the new ones.
• Controlling variations of all open budgets and mitigating costs with project revisions where suitable.
Requirements
• University degree
• At least 5 years of professional experience: project cost and commercial management, value engineering, reporting, quality control, design & quality management
• Ability to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy
• Good communication skills
• Team player attitude
• Precision, reliability, good problem-solving skills, flexibility
• Confident computer skills (MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Fluency in English and Hungarian languages
