Procurement Excellence & Strategy (PES) is a pivotal enabler the of Global Procurement Strategic function (Part of Finance) and also to Transformation and business growth enablement.
Far from being a traditional support function, we act as a proactive business partner, deeply integrated with procurement domains and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver Opella’s ambitious outcomes.

About the job

Role Purpose
The Global Lead, Procurement Process Excellence is responsible for designing, standardizing, and optimizing end-to-end procurement processes across the enterprise. The role ensures policies and procedures are globally harmonized, compliant, and efficient, enabling best-in-class Source-to-Order (S2O) execution. This leader drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees process governance, and partners across Procurement Excellence, Category Management, Operations, and enabling functions to deliver operational excellence and strategic value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Standardization
    – Develop, maintain, and continuously improve global procurement processes (Source-to-Order E2E and sub-processes), ensuring alignment with corporate policy, regulatory requirements, and sourcing strategies.
    – Define and maintain process documentation, workflows, and controls in collaboration with Global Procurement Policy owners. (Buyers Matrix, New joiners’ credentials and list updates…)
    – Ensure process design supports automation, digitization, and efficiency goals. (Portals, SharePoint or any specKey ific digitally enabled tool…)
  • Process Governance & compliance
    – Establish governance mechanisms to maintain process consistency and enforce compliance.
    – Lead process audit preparation, risk assessments, and internal control testing.
    – Monitor process adherence across regions, identifying and addressing deviations.
    – Recommend remediations and follow-u until fixed
  • Continuous Improvement & Change Management
    – Lead global process improvement programs to reduce complexity, improve turnaround times, and enhance user experience.
    – Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify improvement opportunities and embed a culture of process excellence.
    – Track and report process KPIs, driving action plans for underperformance.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    – Work closely with the Global Head of Procurement Process & Operations Excellence to align on strategy and priorities.

Key Partners

  • Procurement Excellence teams (Tech & Data, Policy, Capability Development) to ensure processes are technology-enabled, policy-compliant, and supported by the right skills.
  • Global Lead Procurement Operations to ensure smooth operationalization of processes, clear handoffs, and issue resolution.
  • Category Management & Sourcing to ensure processes enable sourcing strategies and category plans.
  • GBS / Shared Services (S2V/S2P) to ensure seamless execution and adherence to SLAs.
  • Procurement Risk & ESG, Finance, Legal, Audit & Compliance to ensure processes align with enterprise risk, controls, and contractual frameworks.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At ease with uncertainty and fast-moving transformative environments
  • Hands-on and Agile with a strong ability to design quick fixes solutions and move forward to final resolution
  • Proven experience in procurement process design, governance, and optimization within a global organization.
  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes, Digitalization, ERP/S2P platforms, and automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in process KPIs and performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of compliance, audit, and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong collaborative and Team spirit mindset

About you

Experience:

  • Past Experience in FMCG/ FMCH procurement, supply chain, or finance roles, with a focus on process improvement and excellence
  • Proficiency in procurement process & source to pay systems, and strong inclination for change management & Process reengineering.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and make data driven decisions.
  • Ability to see a larger picture, with Problem-solving skills & results-oriented mindset.
  • At ease or/ And Strong appetite for Digitalization and automation, familiarity with Sustainability topics, Supplier Risk assessment and Diversity initiatives
  • Hands-on with MS office pack (PowerPoint, excel, word)

Soft skills:

  • Highly Energetic, effectively leads or participates in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science or procurement discipline
  • Advanced graduate degree (Masters) is a plus

Languages:
Fluent in English, French is a strong plus.
