NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Junior Business Data Analyst/ BI Engineer in its office in Budapest (Vaci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and define business needs and goals.
• Explore, analyze, and process massive amounts of data, turning it into actionable business insights.
• Interact with customer, product and engineering teams.
• Applying business analysis and product analytics techniques and approaches.
• Specification of the requirements.
• Build automated dashboards and reports to facilitate company-wide awareness and understanding of key metrics using different BI and analytical tools.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Experience with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience with DBMS (PostgreSQL or others).
• Experience with SQL.
• Familiarity with data warehouse and ETL.
• Advanced level of MS Excel.
• A clear understanding of the principles and specifics of software development methodologies (SDLC).
• Ability to elicitate and document user requirements (basic understanding of artifacts such as user stories, use case scenarios and SRS).
• Communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with external organizations and internal customers.
• Good time-management skills, ability to learn quickly and handle multi-tasking activities.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools: Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Minimum English proficiency at level B2.

WILL BE A PLUS:

• Experience with Python 3 (Pandas, Numpy, etc.).
• Git/VCS experience.
• Understanding of data mining/analysis methods, working knowledge of statistical methods (Correlation, Regression, Cluster analysis, K-means, decision trees, etc.).
• A/B testing techniques.
• Expertise in Data Quality and Data Governance frameworks.
• Data Lineage & Metadata Management Data Catalog.
• Knowledge of data standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, REMIT).
