What you’ll do:
The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for development and execution of search ads campaigns for Eaton’s Data Centers accounts (inclusive of Distributed IT and Critical Power Systems divisions). This role will work within Eaton’s growing in-house paid media team as part of the Social & Paid Media Center of Excellence within the Global Marketing Communications team and will report to the Paid Media Strategist.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience creating, testing and optimizing search ad campaigns in Google and Microsoft (Bing) and familiarity with other paid channels (LinkedIn, Meta, programmatic, site direct) and providing comprehensive visual reports with concise write-ups and key insights.
– Create high-performing search campaigns in Google and Bing including account setup, researching/refining keywords, aligning ad copy to keywords, managing budgets/bid strategy, uploading creative and monitoring performance (required).
– Experience with paid social (LinkedIn or Meta), programmatic (banner or video ads) or site direct/trade publication media buys (preferred).
– Create comprehensive reports for marketing teams that are insightful and actionable
– Establish close working relationship with marketing teams to understand business goals/objectives, new product launches, priorities and budget changes
– Analyze performance within data visualization tools (Google Looker Studio or PowerBI) and propose ideas to improve performance
– Identify best practices for Google and Bing ad campaigns and suggestions for increasing campaign performance
– Be the subject matter expert on Google and Bing ads and actively participate in team meetings
– Stay informed with industry best practices, new trends and technologies and platform updates
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
3+ years of experience managing campaigns in Google and Microsoft (Bing) ad platforms
Deep understanding of Google/Microsoft Ads platform with hands-on experience activating and measuring campaign performance
Certfications from Google including: Google Ads Search Certification, Google Ads – Measurement Certification, or Google Analytics Certification
Experience with paid social (LinkedIn or Meta), programmatic, direct/trade publication media buys preferred
Understanding of how SEM works with SEO
Technical knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Looker Studio and/or Microsoft PowerBI
Foundational understanding of paid media landscape, including paid social, digital display and trade publications
Experience and practice in paid social media, programmatic ads, and direct/trade publication buying is an advantage
Completes work independently with general guidance on new projects
Strong verbal and written communication for internal audiences
Ability and openness to learn new technology
Ability to set forecasted goals and to execute strategy that achieves those goals
Analytical thinker with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise and actionable storylines
Strong attention to detail
Provides innovative solutions that are consistent with organization objectives
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with a service mentality, reflected in the interaction this role plays in working with business and functional teams as “internal clients”
