Project description
CAF is manufactured 51 new trams for Budapest (46 units with 5 cars and 5 units with 9 cars). We are currently about at the midpoint of the project, with the challenge of testing and delivering the remaining units to ensure top quality and safety.
Duration of the project:  2026-2027.
Job Title: Junior Engineer – Budapest
Location: Budapest, Hungary (1106 Fehér út 1/b) Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Engineer based in Budapest to join our team and collaborate closely with our local engineer and a partner company. This role involves managing a partner team, ensuring proper execution and verification of test protocols, and actively participating in internal continuous improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate and manage activities with the partner team, including protocol execution and management
•Verify test protocols prepared by the partner
•Review control sheets provided by the partner
•Actively participate in internal processes such as:
oKaizen initiatives
oNCR (Non-Conformance Reports) management
oReview of design modifications
•Ensure compliance with quality standards and support continuous improvement
•Adapt to flexible schedules, including shift changes and occasional overtime (weekends included)

Important to support the Budapest team whenever reinforcement is needed in production or quality related tasks. Flexibility and cross-team collaboration are important aspects of this role.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Native Hungarian speaker.
•Good command of English (written and spoken).
•Spanish language skills highly valued.
•Strong teamwork and communication skills.
•Strong technical knowledge in electricity, mechanics, and mechatronics.
•Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
•Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and process compliance
•Possibility to work abroad for different periods of time

Preferred Experience
•Previous experience in protocol verification or quality control.
•Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, NCRs).
•Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
