We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our R&D organization and play a key role in developing the next generation of reefer technologies. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional product development projects and turn innovative ideas into industrialized, high-quality solutions used across the world.

Your Impact

As Senior Project Manager in R&D, you will take ownership of projects from early concept and design through verification, validation, and industrialization. Working at the intersection of electronics, embedded software, and mechanical systems, you will collaborate closely with product management, internal engineering teams, and external suppliers of advanced components.

Using a structured stage-gate development framework, you will ensure predictable execution, transparency, and strong alignment across the organization — while keeping innovation moving forward.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will:

• Lead R&D projects through a stage-gate development model, be responsible for delivering on scope, schedule, cost, and quality, while balancing risk
• Drive development of products combining refrigeration systems, hardware/electronics, embedded software, and mechanical design
• Partner closely with suppliers of complex and custom-engineered components, ensuring technical alignment, quality, manufacturability, and readiness for system integration.
• Coordinate verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation
• Ensure smooth handover to production and support the industrialization of new components and system elements
• Create strong cross-functional alignment across R&D, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Production, and other key stakeholders
• Provide clear project communication, reporting, and decision material for steering groups and senior management
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to secure timely and successful delivery

Who You Are

You bring structure, leadership, and technical curiosity to complex development environments. We imagine you have:

• Proven experience as a project manager in R&D within product development, in a technology-driven industrial environment
• Hands-on experience working within a stage-gate or similar structured development model
• Experience developing products that combine electronics, embedded software, and mechanical systems
• Strong experience collaborating with suppliers of complex or high-complexity components (e.g. electronics modules, compressors, sensors, control systems)
• Experience with product testing, qualification, and validation processes
• Background from refrigeration, HVAC, cooling, industrial machinery, or a similar technical domain (an advantage)
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align across technical and organizational boundaries
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
