ABOUT THE JOB

Ceva seeks applicants for the full-time position of EHS Business Partner within the EHS directory of Ceva’s Phlyaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district. This is a hybrid role that has in-office requirements of (2) days per week or (10) days per month OR can offer up to (10) home office days monthly.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The EHS team is responsible for ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the well-being of both employees and the environment. This department plays a key role in managing risks and implementing sustainable practices across the company’s operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the EHS Director, you will be responsible for overseeing specific areas of the sites, including departments and focus factories. This role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations, while also leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS practices across the organization.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure EHS regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
• Lead safety programs and initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture and reduce incidents.
• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure preparedness for inspections.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management roles within manufacturing or industrial settings
• Fire safety certification (Tűzvédelmi előadó), upper level fire safety certification (Tűzvédelmi főelőadó) is a plus
• Experience in project management and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred
• Certification as a Safety Professional (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus
• Negotiation level in English both verbally and written is mandatory

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Strong knowledge of relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards
• Proven track record of implementing and maintaining EHS management systems
