Position Overview
The Global On & Offboarding Specialist acts as the intermediary between business stakeholders and Digital teams, leveraging deep understanding of on & offboarding processes and technology to achieve desired business outcomes. This role focuses on leading, analyzing, optimizing, and standardizing on & offboarding processes across Sanofi’s global network. The Global On & Offboarding Specialist works closely with Global, Regional and local stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional solutions while driving strategic initiatives for seamless employee transitions.
Main Responsibilities
Process Analysis:
Lead comprehensive analysis of on & offboarding business processes across regions to identify inconsistencies and standardization opportunities
Conduct strategic data collection and analysis across diverse regional on & offboarding configurations (e.g., worker types/subtypes, onboarding workflows, offboarding procedures), proactively identifying gaps and raising critical questions beyond initial requirements
Analyze legacy on & offboarding systems to understand current state and identify improvement opportunities
Drive global standardization initiatives for consistent employee experience during transitions
Documentation & Process Governance:
Lead testing of automated on & offboarding solutions and validate process improvements in collaboration with technical teams before deployment
Implement rigorous documentation practices for on & offboarding processes including detailed ticket management with root cause analysis
Develop and maintain high-quality on & offboarding process documentation, including SOPs, Business Continuity Plans, decision guides, process flows
Deliver comprehensive on & offboarding process documentation including process flows, business rules, RACI matrices, knowledge base (MyPortal) global articles
On & Offboarding Process Optimization, Automation & Innovation:
Handle analysis of on & offboarding business process inconsistencies across regions and identify standardization opportunities to eliminate operational variability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate on & offboarding process breakdowns, document findings, and develop evidence-based recommendations for improvements
Propose optimal on & offboarding business process sequences and timing requirements to ensure seamless data flow between integrated systems
Propose innovation initiatives to enhance employee experience during onboarding and offboarding transitions
Project support:
Support transformation/M&A projects by analyzing on & offboarding process impacts and requirements across multiple countries
Engage in requirements elicitation, process documentation, and stakeholder collaboration to shape on & offboarding solutions aligned with business needs
Act as Subject Matter Expert providing business context and process expertise during complex on & offboarding problem-solving initiatives
Support strategic alignment across global teams for consistent on & offboarding experience
About you
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Graduate or master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
3 years in HR process optimization, digital product management, or related roles
Experience of at least 3 years in a Business Services environment
Experience in HR technology and process integration
Functional Expertise:
Deep understanding of end-to-end on & offboarding processes within hire-to-retire lifecycle
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated expertise in People & Culture related tools & systems, especially:
Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Talent Management, Compensation, and reporting
ServiceNow, especially Passport
Business requirements gathering and translation into functional designs
Understanding of technology and cross-system integration
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong quality mindset
