Introduction
We are looking for an IT Project Manager (Agile Software Development Project) to join the SAP Hungary team for a long-term project with remote work.
Start of the project: January, 2025
Tasks
Project Management:
• Develop and execute detailed project plans within the overall program framework, aligned with software development and cloud migration objectives.
• Break down project work into manageable tasks, track progress, and manage project timelines using Agile and waterfall methodologies
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively, identifying and resolving resource allocation challenges.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively implementing solutions to maintain project deadlines.
• Facilitate and participate in project meetings (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure clear communication and collaboration within the project team.
• Manage project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, issue logs, and status reports.
Software Development Management:
• Partner with the Senior Project Manager and software development teams to define project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the assigned software project(s).
• Oversee the implementation of Agile methodologies for efficient development and delivery of high-quality software.
• Track software development progress, identify and address roadblocks impacting delivery timelines.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices established by the program.
Cloud Migration Management (As Needed):
• Assist the Senior Project Manager in specific cloud migration tasks, such as workload assessment, cloud platform configuration, and migration testing depending on project requirements.
• Stay informed on cloud migration best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering software development projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project management frameworks.
• Experience in managing project budgets and resources effectively.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts is preferred.
• Experience using project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) is required
