Responsibility:
The O365 Security Engineer is responsible for helping to define, drive, and deliver major components of the Celanese O365 and Azure security strategy. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and extending DLP controls via Microsoft MIP (Purview), as well as driving improvements on our Azure security posture. The position requires working with globally distributed teams to drive implementation of tools and controls to meet security objectives. The engineer will serve as the key subject matter expert across all O365 and Azure security projects, and interface with security analysts to identify and align controls with emerging tactics and techniques.

Qualifications:

Deep understanding of MIP (Microsoft Purview) based DLP controls
Personal experience with establishing and implementing policies and procedures protecting information flow to and from large organizations
Knowledge of O365 security mechanisms and policies
Experience managing Intune conditional access policies
Experience managing and securing Azure AD objects
Knowledge of implementing Azure security controls
Knowledge of Azure policies
Ability to drive awareness via training, documentation, and workshops following information security standards, policies, and best practices
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrable ability to self-direct project outcomes, with minimal supervision to achieve program goals

Recommended skills and credentials

Cloud security certifications in O365 or Azure
Experience in Microsoft Purview technologies
Experience with Microsoft Teams an SharePoint security controls
Understanding of NIST security controls
Typically has 10 or more years of combined IT and security work experience in mid-size or large environment with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and cloud environments
Bachelor’s degree
