As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for performing various tactical buying actions for commodities, with the goal of ensuring the optimization of cost and procured quality. You are expected to create, maintain, and monitor a sourcing strategy and have ownership of purchasing products. The job location for this advertisement can be considered either Cegléd or Budapest.
Job description
In your new role you will:

Initiate measures for cost reduction within the product development process and ensure standardization and processability of materials;
Identify and implement material cost reduction potential utilization and further development of technical levers such as Cost Performance Matrix, Value Engineering, or Design to Cost;
Analyze global procurement markets and forward-looking planning regards to supplier selection and development including supplier contract design in R&D projects;
Pro-active support in the technical development of the supplier portfolio and used production materials;
Ensure continuous improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration across locations with areas like R&D, marketing, logistics, and quality management.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

University Degree in Engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials science);
Minimum 1 year of experience in Procurement;
Fluency in Hungarian and English or German language skills are required.
