Based in Mátészalka, Hungary, as a QA Manager you will be primarily responsible for the supervision of the quality management, food safety and sustainability systems implemented and operated in the company.

Vacancy description/responsibilities:

• Supervising (and improving) the quality management, food safety and sustainability (UTZ/RSPO) systems implemented and operated by the company
• Compliance and enforcement of the quality documents
• Ensuring compliance with local QM standards
• Managing and supervising the business quality organization
• Adapting and enforcing legislative changes
• Supervising the work of the laboratories at the plant
• Management of factory HACCP and quality management processes
• Organization and implementation of internal audits, defining corrective and preventive actions for discrepancies identified in audits, monitoring their implementation
• Liasing with authorities and external contractors
• People managements tasks (management of time records, ensuring career progression of subordinates etc.)
• Ensuring compliance and quality of incoming additives and packaging materials
• Cooperating with the product development department, supporting from quality and food safety point of view
• Supervising (and improving) hygiene controls at the factory
• Keeping contact with customers and suppliers in critical situations
• Organizing audits at suppliers
• Preparing quality analyses, reports, statements
• Complaints management (registration, investigation, initiation of corrective actions)

What we ask/requirements:

• University/Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering/Food Safety and Quality Engineering or in a related field
• 5+ years of related experience, including at least 2 years of people management experience
• Strong, hands-on experience with QA audits, audit systems
• Experience with certification system (e.g. ISO)
• Knowledge of IFS audit standards is an advantage
• Excellent proficiency in Hungarian and English (both written and oral)
• Confident knowledge of Office tools (especially Excel)
• Knowledge of QM softwares is an advantage
• ERP experience (SAP experience is an advantage)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to negotiate
• Analytical and goal oriented personality
• Continuous improvement mindset
• High attention to details and accuracy
• Excellent coordination and prioritization skills
