Euronet EFT division seeks to employ an experienced Regional Chief Accountant who will join the Finance Regional team. The successful candidate will be based in Budapest under the leadership of the Regional Controller, and will be responsible of leading, managing, and coordinating the accounting processes and activities for the region, including tax filings, cash movements, and external audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the full bookkeeping of the branches/entities in the region
• Provide technical accounting advice to support the Finance function and the wider business.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing, ensuring books are closed in good quality and meeting deadlines
• Manage ongoing reconciliations of all Balance Sheet Accounts (Intercompany, subledgers, banks, accruals, prepayments, etc.)
• Responsible for preparation of statutory annual financial statements
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Develop and maintain internal controls; promote accounting excellence, create and maintain local policies
• Reviewing and improving existing finance process and systems and collaborating with other teams to new implementations
• Improving automatization, eliminating manual tasks
• Supervise and manage the accounting team members
• Attract, engage and develop talent; assess and ensure the right people are in the right roles
• Setting clear goals and holding team accountable for executing against those goals.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent managerial skills, able to develop and to make team members grow based on continuous performance measurement and constructive feedback
• 3-5 years’ experience leading accounting teams ideally in large multinationals
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Mérlegképes könyvelő (Certified Accountant qualification is highly desired)
• Mindset that financial data is the key asset for the company, protection, and best usage of it
• High-level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics as you’ll be dealing with confidential data in several occasions
• Excellent communicator with superior written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, able to confidently present confidently to all levels
• Ownership mindset, with ability to meet tight deadlines using a logical, methodical approach to prioritization
• Strategic mindset but attention to detail
• Expert in data analysis and visualization, with expertise in analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, etc…
