NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (Java, AWS) in its office in Budapest (Vaci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and implementation of new functionalities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• Create technical designs, perform architectural decompositions, and evaluate task complexities.
• Own the code delivery process, ensuring seamless deployment and maintenance up to production environments.
• Lead sprint and release planning sessions.
• Facilitate technical discussions, conduct code and architectural reviews, providing mentorship to other developers.
• Author and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Spring Ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and GIT.
• Strong background in RESTful API and messaging design.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Extensive experience with AWS.
• Proficiency in bug tracking systems like JIRA.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

WILL BE A PLUS:

• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL storage.
• Expertise in Kubernetes or other container orchestrators.
• Deep understanding of microservices and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of security protocols like JWT, OAuth2, SAML.
• In-depth expertise in Apache Kafka.
