Job description
As Senior Director Procurement Category Leader HPS (f/m/div)* you will use your passion for procurement to develop and lead the global procurement strategies and to negotiate & conclude contracts at the top business levels with high class suppliers

In your new role you will:
Build a competitive, resilient and sustainable supply base and n-tier value chain to support the business growth for the High Power Segment (HPS)
Lead global strategic category management for HPS material and HPS equipment. This includes supply market analysis, category strategy development and supplier strategies
Have the business responsibility for supplier relationships for HPS globally: from supplier selection, RFI/RFQ, negotiation, contracting, awarding of new business, supplier evaluation, up to consequence management and phase out
Communicate and negotiate at eye level with international top management and decision makers at suppliers
Lead a global, strong, diverse and inclusive team of category managers based in Warstein (Germany) and Cegléd (Hungary)

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
A graduate degree e.g. master degree, MBA or PhD in economics, industrial engineering or production engineering
At least 10+ years work experience of increasing responsibility, including strategic procurement in a globally operating environment
Demonstrated strategic procurement skills, particularly in category strategy development, advanced negotiation and contracting
Knowledge on market developments in key categories and key suppliers, for both in materials as well as equipment: you know the relevant markets and competitors and align the strategy of your area accordingly
Ability to build sustainable high-level relationships both internally and externally and influence others via excellent interpersonal skills
Track record of setting and meeting ambitious targets and taking calculated risks aimed at delivering added value
Passion for setting up sustainable value chains
Distinctive communication, excellent selling and presentation skills
Strong leadership skills to lead a globally distributed team
Expertise in the international environment is essential
Fluent English and good German language skills
