Join our Digital Team as ServiceNow Developer and you can help make it happen. This position is part of Service Excellence, a transversal organization into Sanofi Business Operations. Service Excellence designs, implements, and maintains scalable, efficient, and user-centric Enterprise Service Management (ESM) capabilities that connect Sanofi employees and partners with operations through standardized frameworks and solutions. Your job?The ServiceNow Developer serves as the technical owner of ServiceNow platform development, ensuring optimal implementation of solutions across service management processes. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving ServiceNow applications to drive business value throughout the service lifecycle. The ServiceNow Developer manages technical implementations and works with the Senior Developers to engage design requirements that focus on process flow, customizations and third-party integration needs. Once engaged, the Developer ensures the defined integration points or workflows match the requirements outlined, as well as define the effort within the overall backlog. Concurrent to enablement activities, the Developer closely monitors ServiceNow development practices to ensure the platform quality is maintained so it can provide the best possible experience for our customers.
Main responsibilities:
Design and implement ServiceNow solutions in collaboration with DIGITAL teams, in alignment with Service Designers and Business Analysts
Take accountability for code quality, performance and adherence to development standards
Develop and maintain applications, workflows and integrations within the ServiceNow platform
Establish technical roadmaps that support business objectives and enhance service delivery capabilities
Manage ServiceNow development backlog, working with technology and business partners to provide backlog prioritization
Prepare detailed estimates and test plans based on functional requirements
Provide training and support programs related to ServiceNow processes, policies and procedures.
Analyze, design, document and test software modifications for existing processes/configurations, reports, forms, extensions, and interfaces in the production environment
Drive the design, configuration and deployment of new projects & system enhancements
Guide development teams and business analysts on optimal technical approaches and provide expert implementation support
Research and analyse business requirements, provide conceptual and detail designs to meet business needs, manage configurations in ServiceNow, and test and support the rollout of solutions
Ensure coding best practices are followed in every sprint/delivery
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed applications and processes
Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage technical activities and ensure timely completion
Drive continuous improvement of implemented solutions based on performance metrics and user feedback
Act as ServiceNow domain expert in the following areas: CSM, HRSD, SPM
Contribute to strategic development projects requiring complex coding and platform customization
Coordinate activities with cross-functional team members to drive project completion and technical excellence
Establish and maintain development standards, methodologies, and governance
Identify and mitigate technical risks through proactive planning and code reviews
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
Build partnerships across the organization to champion effective technical approaches
Facilitate technical workshops and collaborative sessions to align stakeholders on solution architecture
Identify emerging ServiceNow capabilities and technologies that could benefit the organization
Recommend process and technology improvements based on platform capabilities and industry best practices
Implement measurement frameworks to evaluate solution effectiveness
Drive adoption of new capabilities through technical enablement and knowledge sharing
About you
Experience: 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and customization, Proven track record in implementing and managing ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments, Experience with ServiceNow modules including HRSD, CSM, SPM and platform capabilities, Background in service management with focus on technical solution delivery, Experience in a global, cross-functional environment, ServiceNow certifications preferred (Administrator, Developer, Implementation Specialist)
Soft skills: Well-organized with ability to structure, prioritize, and meet deadlines, Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts at different organizational levels, Hands-on approach to problem-solving and solution implementation, Effective business partnering and customer relationship management, Strategic thinking with ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes
Technical skills: Advanced in ServiceNow platform development (JavaScript, business rules, UI policies, client scripts), Advanced in ServiceNow administration and configuration, Advanced in integration technologies (REST, SOAP, MID Server), Advanced in workflow design and implementation, Advanced in data privacy principles and security best practices, Working knowledge of ITIL, LEAN, and Continuous Improvement frameworks, Understanding of data modelling and database design techniques
Education: BSc or Master’s degree in Computer Science
Languages: Excellent English communication and writing
