Your Role and Responsibilities :

IBM is looking for a self-driven and highly motivated procurement category manager with proven experience to join our IBM Procurement Services team for one of IBM’s key clients in the UK.
As Procurement Sourcing Professional, you will lead sourcing projects for our UK based client in the automobile industry along with providing category insights to assist in their strategy development.
You would need to independently run larger scale procurement projects requiring independence of thought, strong stakeholder management skills and advanced negotiation and support periodic key stakeholder meetings with client to review category strategy and activities.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

What you will bring to the team:

– 3-7 years of Sourcing experience
– The Sourcing Lead/ Category Specialist is responsible for working with key stakeholders to understand Marketing business needs and objectives
– The Sourcing Lead/ Category Specialist will assist our clients with strategic sourcing and engage budget holders in strategic procurement strategies to maximize ROI from the investment, appropriate levels of service and compliance with procedures and ensure that professional best practice is achieved. This includes the creation and execution of RFx events, negotiation and contract development, in line with client requirements
– Build and maintain open and transparent relationships with business colleagues that contribute to mitigating change resistance
– Be recognized as a trusted commercial advisor and an expert in deriving value whilst meeting operational needs
– Self-sufficient in gathering and analyzing data to provide insights that support decisions Team player attitude, energetic and pragmatic personality with excellent communication skills
– Proactive attitude, self-driven with developed leadership skills, high levels of personal drive, initiative and commitment to business goals
– Change champion, able to independently represent procurement’s values in order to drive change through Sourcing Events

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

Experience with the following are bonus points, but not necessary, you can learn them at IBM:
– IT skills: Coupa, SAP, Oracle, MS Office, SharePoint
– Experience with dashboards and reporting tools
