As a Supplier Quality Engineer, youll be responsible for driving supplier qualification and development to ensure sustainable quality improvements across the supply base. Youll analyze supplier performance, lead root cause analysis for defects, and initiate corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with suppliers.

You’ll support product development by involving suppliers early in the process and lead supplier audits. Your expertise in quality planning, including vendor and goods receipt inspections, and SAP management (material masters and quality info records) will be key. You’ll also review quality documentation, handle quality notifications in SAP, and collaborate proactively with a global team and internal customers.

How youll make an impact

Supplier qualification and development to achieve sustainable quality improvements in the assigned supply base

Analyzing supplier performance for supplier development programs

Root cause analysis of defects that have occurred and initiation of appropriate corrective and preventive measures in cooperation with suppliers

Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions of the suppliers

Early supplier involvement supporting the global SQD team in the product development process

Planning and execution of supplier audits

Definition and execution of quality planning such as vendor and goods receipt inspections, assignment of inspection plans to material masters in SAP as well as maintenance of material masters and quality info records in SAP

Review of the quality documentation of suppliers

Execution of Supplier Quality tasks in the processing of quality notifications in SAP

Proactive collaboration with a global team and internal customers

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, Master’s degree preferred

At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing

Certification as International Welding Engineer (IWE) preferred

Several years of experience in the qualification of suppliers

Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA

Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management

Very good collaboration and communication skills

Business fluent in written and spoken English and Hungarian, German is a plus

Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally
