Internship at Baker Hughes is designed to enable undergraduates pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives to kickstart their career. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

Our internship will provide you with the opportunity to become familiar with the operations of a Global Finance Center. You’ll participate in technically focused training, team meetings and work on projects and present your results. During your internship you will be supported by your manager who will ensure that you have a valuable learning experience.

As an Intern, you will:

– Gain experience in General Accounting and General Ledger activities (manual journal entries, accounting reconciliation)
– Support the preparation of financial reports
– Use theoretical knowledge on US GAAP accounting in practice
– Contribute to the compliance of financial reports with generally accepted accounting principles
– Support the team leaders with tracking completion of certain activities and key performance indicators
– Track manual journal entries and analyse root cause/solutions
– Maintain ME/LE lists
– Take part in the monthly/quarterly/year-end closing process

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you have:

– Ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar BA/MA
– Fluent English knowledge – both in oral and in written
– Strong user level MS Office skills (Excel pivots, vlookup/MS Outlook)
– Comfortable knowledge of basic accounting principles (PnL, Balance Sheet, Subledger VS GL, Accruals, Debits/Credits, Monthly closure)
– Flexibility and ability to learn and adapt
– Analytical thinking, problem solving skills and team player attitude

Location

We have 12-month internship opportunities in our Budapest, Vaci Greens office.
