NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Junior Devops Engineer in its office in Budapest (Vaci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automation and deployment of cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and on-premises infrastructures.
Automation and script writing for CI/CD.
Resolution of infrastructure and automation issues in different environments.
Development and maintenance of CI/CD using various tools.
Support of the team’s infrastructure and resolution of configuration issues.
Adherence to corporate rules and security practices.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Experience in administering Linux/UNIX and Windows systems (practical experience is mandatory, at least two years).
Experience in configuring web servers and deploying applications, as well as supporting their operation.
Experience deploying environments in AWS or Azure clouds (manually or using Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates).
Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Practical experience in administering databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or MSSQL).
Knowledge of CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, or other CI/CD tools.
Experience writing scripts in Bash or PowerShell.
Intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken English is mandatory.

WILL BE A PLUS:
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience in automation using Ansible or similar tools (Puppet, SaltStack or Chef).
Ability to work with Git and understanding of Git workflows.
Experience deploying and managing microservices releases.
Good understanding of web technologies and related principles.
Knowledge of the Python programming language is desirable.
Practical experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines for code build, deployment and testing.
Experience in identifying and resolving issues in different environments.
