AGCO is looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager that supports Operations and Facility Management Categories (AGCO’s manufacturing plants in EME) in Indirect Purchasing. Defines and manages complex, high value projects within the region. Strong project management and negotiation skills are required as a basis. Other sourcing managers or site buyers will be involved in these projects, as supporting team members, so a good team working attitude is essential.
What You Will Do:
Initiates and manages complex regional individual sourcing projects for Indirect Purchasing (EME/global) in commodities Operations and Facility management
Needs to have a clear understanding of budget planning, cost structure and supply base of each EME site
Define and execute strategies for the corresponding commodities in collaboration with the Global Commodity Managers
Work closely with the senior managers of the related business units, to define strategies and initiate sourcing projects.
Understand and match purchasing and business strategies to find the best sourcing opportunities
Initiate and execute cross site/regional projects, involving several stakeholders from different sites.
Must know about factory specific requirements, must have experience in manufacturing field
Will work with Indirect Purchasing tools e.g. Sourcing Pipeline, e-Sourcing tool
Manage negotiations and complex international tenders (RFP, RFQ, RFI) self-driven
Has to maintain business relationship with the sites in Europe continuously
Ability to create reports and status updates, including business case and presentations for senior management.
Represents Indirect Purchasing in front of senior stakeholders
Helps to develop and improve Operations and Facility Management Commodities (new strategies, processes or new way of working)
Shall be able to work independently and overview the Operations and Facility Management area including sub-categories
Works together with business stakeholders and local buyers at the different sites in the region
What You Will Bring:
6+ years of experience in Purchasing and experience in manufacturing field.
Business fluency in English
German and/or French as a secondary language
People management or team leading experience
High volume creativity
