Your Role and Responsibilities:

A sneak peek into this role:

As a self-driven Procurement Category Buyer for strategic sourcing, you will be responsible for preparing category strategy and managing the contractual commitments for a given category or categories. You will report to the Budapest Procurement Service organization, but at the same time you will become part of the extended team of our clients as well, who might provide additional business guidance. You will conduct tendering activities, market analysis, including market drivers, supplier profiles and relative negotiating positions and will create and consult on Category management and strategies. Business travel can be expected in BAU times, approximately monthly and can vary on account and per client supported.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

What you will bring to the team:

– Bachelor’s degree
– At least 5 years of Strategic Buying / Category Management experience in direct or indirect procurement categories
– Deep, specific category sourcing knowledge, especially in Facility Management / Construction / MRO / CapEx
– German market knowledge would be a plus
– Fluent German and English language skills
– Strong decision-making skills and demonstrated negotiation expertise
– Supplier relationship management expertise and client facing skills
– Proactive character and team player attitude
– Strong analytical skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :

-Experience with the following are bonus points, but not necessary, you can learn them at IBM:
IT skills: Outlook, MS Office, Box, Ariba, SAP, Oracle, experience in Navision and PowerBI is a plus
