YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

Responsible for US GAAP accounting, reporting and analyses of data and other ad hoc requests for information
Perform month–end closings, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations, prepare SOX controls
Prepare and post journal entries and Perform related account reconciliations, in addition to loading financial data into BCS monthly
Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Identifying, solving and/or escalating accounting issues to his/her supervisor
Interact with other finance and accounting personnel thorough the organisation
Continuously improve closing processes and efficiency
Ensures compliance with Celanese policies / procedures and SOX controls
Interfaces with external and internal auditors for PBC requests and process and account explanations
Actively participate in general ledger change projects as required

What YOU will bring to the team:

2-4 years relevant work experience in accounting; previous experience in a shared service center or accounting experience at a large company, or fast paced environment is desired
Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting
Advanced understanding of accounting & internal accounting controls-
Work independently
Be proactive
Demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills
Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results
Effectively prioritizes assignments
Understands the expectations of customers and delivers service that meets or exceeds customer’s needs within policy guidelines
Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind
Ability to resolve ambiguous or complex assignments

Must have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Previous experience with SAP (or similar ERP system) is an advantage
